Unstructured MCP Virtual Hackathon: Build, Share, and Win!
Unstructured
Unstructured
We're excited to announce our first-ever Virtual Hackathon! At Unstructured, we recently launched our Unstructured API, bringing all our Enterprise ETL functionality to your Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations. Now, we're inviting developers to showcase their creativity by building community MCP servers that unlock unique tools for MCP clients and rely on the power of Unstructured API to process unstructured data under the hood.
🏆 The Challenge
Build an MCP server using Unstructured API that solves your use case and create a tutorial to help others learn from your work. Show the developer community how Unstructured API can be integrated in an MCP server to solve real-world problems!
💰 The Prizes
We'll be selecting 3 winners who will each receive $500 at the end of the virtual hackathon!
📅 Timeline
The hackathon runs for one week starting today, Monday, March 24th, and with the last submissions accepted on Sunday, March 30th, giving you plenty of time to build something amazing with our API. We will be announcing winners on Monday, March 31st.
🚀 How to Enter
Entering our hackathon is simple:
Build your custom MCP server using Unstructured API for document processing
Create a working example as either a Google Colab notebook or a GitHub repository
Create a tutorial teaching others how to build it
Your tutorial can be a YouTube video, or a blog post
Make sure it clearly explains your implementation and how others can replicate or expand upon it
Share it with us on social media
Mention our handle @UnstructuredIO
Include the hashtag #UnstructuredMCP
Share links to your project and the tutorial
That's it! Your submission will be automatically entered into the competition to win one of the three $500 prizes.
