Last Updated: June 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP"), including the AI Acceptable Use Policy below, applies to all use of the services, software, and platform provided by Unstructured Technologies, Inc. ("Unstructured"), whether accessed through a Subscription Agreement, Software License Agreement, or other agreement (the "Agreement"). Capitalized terms used but not defined in this AUP have the meanings set forth in the applicable Agreement. This AUP is incorporated into the Agreement by reference.

1. GENERAL USE RESTRICTIONS. In addition to the use restrictions set forth in the Agreement, Customer and its Authorized Users shall not use the Services or Licensed Software (as applicable) to:

a) transmit, store, or process any content that: (i) is defamatory, obscene, or fraudulent; (ii) promotes violence, hatred, or discrimination against any individual or group; (iii) constitutes or facilitates spam, phishing, or social engineering; or (iv) contains malware, ransomware, or other harmful code;

b) engage in any activity that violates applicable law, including applicable export control, sanctions, anti-money laundering, anti-bribery, or data protection laws;

c) use the Services or Licensed Software in a manner that imposes an unreasonable or disproportionate load on Unstructured's infrastructure or that of its third-party providers, including by automated means designed to consume resources in excess of contracted usage limits;

d) access or attempt to access data, accounts, or systems belonging to other Unstructured customers;

e) sell, resell, sublicense, or make available the Services or Licensed Software to third parties, except as expressly permitted in the Agreement or an Order Form;

f) mine, scrape, or harvest data from the Services or Licensed Software (other than Customer Data) for any purpose not authorized by the Agreement; or

g) use the Services or Licensed Software in connection with the development, production, stockpiling, or use of weapons of mass destruction, including chemical, biological, radiological, or nuclear weapons.

2. PROHIBITED DATA. Unless expressly authorized in an Order Form or written addendum, Customer shall not submit to the Services or Licensed Software any Restricted Data (as defined in the Agreement). Customer is solely responsible for determining whether Customer Data is subject to heightened regulatory requirements and for obtaining any required consents or approvals prior to processing such data through the Services or Licensed Software.

3. SOURCE CONNECTOR RESTRICTIONS. Where the Services or Licensed Software include features that connect to third-party data sources on Customer's behalf (such as Foundation or similar knowledge assistant features), Customer shall not:

a) connect to or access data from any third-party source without all necessary rights, permissions, and authorizations, or in a manner that circumvents access controls, authentication requirements, or usage restrictions imposed by the third-party data source provider;

b) configure source connections to ingest data in volumes or at frequencies that violate the terms of service of the applicable third-party data source or that are designed to exhaust the resources of such data source; or

c) use the query or search features to systematically extract, compile, or exfiltrate data from connected sources for purposes unrelated to Customer's authorized internal business use of the Services.

4. AI ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY. This Section 4 applies to Customer's use of all AI features available through the Services or Licensed Software, including both Unstructured-Managed AI Services and features accessed using Customer-Provided Credentials (BYOK).

a) Prohibited AI Uses. The restrictions in Section 1 apply equally to Customer's use of AI features. In addition, Customer shall not use AI features available through the Services or Licensed Software (or any AI Output generated by such features) to:

i) develop, train, fine-tune, or improve any machine learning or artificial intelligence model (except as expressly authorized in a Professional Services Statement of Work), or attempt to extract, reconstruct, or reverse-engineer the training data, model weights, parameters, architecture, or other proprietary elements of any third-party AI model accessed through the Services or Licensed Software;

ii) probe, test, or evaluate third-party AI models for vulnerabilities, jailbreaks, or safety bypasses through the Services or Licensed Software, except with Unstructured's prior written consent;

iii) generate, refine, or distribute content that constitutes or facilitates: (i) misinformation, disinformation, or deceptive synthetic media (e.g., deepfakes); (ii) impersonation of any individual without their consent; or (iii) fraudulent documents, credentials, or records;

iv) make or inform automated decisions about individuals with legal or similarly significant effects (such as employment, credit, insurance, housing, or education decisions) without appropriate human review and oversight;

v) use knowledge assistant or document search features as the sole basis for decisions with legal, financial, or regulatory consequences without independent verification of the underlying source documents;

vi) perform biometric identification, emotion recognition, or biometric categorization of individuals; or

vii) generate content that (i) exploits or harms minors or (ii) promotes violence, terrorism, or the manufacture of weapons or controlled substances.

b) Prohibited Content for AI Processing. Customer shall not submit to AI features any content that: (a) Customer does not have the legal right to process; (b) is designed to elicit output that violates this AUP; or (c) consists of prompts, instructions, or inputs intended to circumvent the safety controls or content policies of the underlying AI provider.

c) AI Output. Customer acknowledges that AI Output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or non-unique. This includes results returned by knowledge assistant or document search features, which are generated using AI-based retrieval and may not reflect the complete or current contents of connected sources. Customer is solely responsible for evaluating the accuracy, legality, and fitness of AI Output before relying on or distributing it. Customer shall not represent AI Output as human-generated where applicable law requires disclosure of AI involvement.

d) BYOK Responsibilities. Where Customer accesses AI features using Customer-Provided Credentials, Customer remains subject to all restrictions in this AUP. Customer is additionally responsible for complying with the acceptable use terms of the applicable third-party AI provider.

5. ENFORCEMENT. Unstructured may investigate any suspected violation of this AUP. Customer shall reasonably cooperate with any such investigation, including by providing information reasonably requested by Unstructured. If a violation poses an imminent threat to the security, integrity, or availability of the Services or Licensed Software, or to any third party, Unstructured may suspend access immediately and without prior notice. Unstructured will provide notice as soon as reasonably practicable after any such suspension.

6. REPORTING. If Customer becomes aware of any use of the Services or Licensed Software in violation of this AUP, Customer shall promptly notify Unstructured at legal@unstructured.io.

7. MODIFICATIONS. Unstructured may update this AUP from time to time by posting a revised version at https://unstructured.io/legal. Unstructured will use commercially reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of material changes. Continued use of the Services or Licensed Software after such changes constitutes acceptance. Updates to this AUP will not materially reduce the protections afforded to Customer during the then-current Order Form term.
